About the Foundation
The Hays Medical Center Foundation was created in 1995 and is a charitable, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to support Hays Medical Center. The Foundation, in our partnership with donors, seeks to meet both immediate and long range health care needs.
A 16-member volunteer board, an executive director and a part-time administrative assistant guides the efforts of the Foundation.
Our Vision The Hays Medical Center Foundation is an active and dedicated organization that works collaboratively with the Medical Center to meet both immediate and long range health care needs to improve the quality of life for the people we serve. We work to assist Hays Medical Center with its purpose "To Help People Be Healthy."
About Hays Medical Center
The Hays Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit hopsital formed by the 1991 merger of two religiously affiliated facilities, and offers the only major level service in the region. The HMC DeBakey Heart Institute is the primary provider of heart surgery and cardiac care for people in western Kansas. The Hays Medical Center is also well known and respected for its cancer prevention and treatment programs through the Dreiling/Schmidt Cancer Center.
HMC provides medical, surgical, and pediatric care along with cardiac, neonatal and intensive care units; cancer, joint care, diagnostic imaging and eye surgery center; the sleep center, and inpatient rehabilitation programs with occupational medicine and independent physician clinics.
HMC also provides support to more than 20 rural hospitals across the state, together with bio-medical engineering and mobile diagnostics. Hays Medical Center delivers exceptional care to the people we serve.
